Thank you for refunding me 5$ shipping costs, the CD arrived yesterday and it is perfect! If I only had known earlier that I could have had a signed one...

Best regards from Austria

Hello Andreas

I called the printer to see if they have some extra inserts. If I can get one, I'll send it to you.

I've always gotten your cd's from Border's Bookstore, and lately over their website, but as of today, they do not have Wings II-Return to Freedom available.  I'll keep watching, because I am so excited to add it to my massage music library.  Yea! Cheesy

Hi Cyndi

It's unlikely that Borders will have the CD. They generally only accept items from major distributors. We are on our own now. In fact, we regained control of 3 of our previous titles and are in the process of repackaging them for re-release. There is a possibility that the wonderful distributor Music Design will pick it up. I don't think they distribute to Borders, but they do distribute to other "brick and mortar" stores. If you will send me your address (private message) I'll find out if there are stores near you and let you know if (and when) it will be available. I am really sorry for the trouble. But from what I understand, the CD (and other physical media) will disappear in the near future. That's why all the music retailers have gone out of business. Remember "BLockbuster MUSIC"? Virgin Megastore? Tower Records? Sam Goody? Where are they now? There were music stores on every street corner not that long ago. Now we shop for music in BOOK stores, Walmart/Target, or Starbucks!
 Cheesy
Or even wilder, Amazon...

I went into Best Buy a while back and asked the clerk where all the CD selection had gone. They had a few, but they were all the biggest names- Brittany, Beyonce etc... He told me they sell way more downloads there than CDs.

"Downloads? From where?"
"ITunes", he said.

Apparently, they sell ITunes via some kind of card, I assume so one can purchase without an account?

The nearest Borders to us is the same way.. Hardly any stock..you buy the music online, and make the CD in the store, or store it into your portable device, or something?

I admit I buy ITunes, but for some things I just want a physical CD. For that I usually have to go online nowadays. As Pamela wrote, there are almost no music retailers anymore, and the other B&M stores that do sell music don't want to keep any physical stock. Things are definitely changing!

I wondered if I was the only one that wanted hold the CD...the downloads are great, for a song that strikes me, and wow..I might listen to that again. I thought I was weird wanting the 'real thing'. In my head, if all the puters quit, if my ipod quit...I could use my ancient portable cd player and HAVE it...Besides there is something about holding the case and looking at the insert for real the first time you listen to it.

I noticed the same thing at the big box stores...what used to take a 1/4 of the floor space is now just barely a nook...and more videos than cd's.

I feel a little more like a normal person now..lol..knowing I am not the only one that sometimes wants the 'real thing'.

The same thing is happening here in Australia.  Sanity music stores?  Gone.  One left in a major shopping centre where I live.  An individual music store in the street where I work?  Gone.  I have heard that a major music store which sold a lot of individual and hard-to-get music, has also gone, that was there for 17 years.

It makes me wonder and re-evaluate my thoughts for when I open a new age store.  I planned to stock a lot of CDs in, but recently I had wondered how wise that would be, in this day and age.  At present, there is still demand for it, but how long will that last?

I am so enjoying the new "Wings II - Return to Freedom" CD.  It is just grand.  Thank you so much for this excellent production and also I wanted to express a personal thank you for mentioning us (the forum gang) in your coverlet.  That was quite a surprise and a real kick!  I have been showing it to every family member I can find!  LOL  It is such a nice gesture on your part and just reaffirms what wonderful people you are.  Thank you so very much.

Your friend,

Thanks for the info!  I had no idea that cd's were going to be a thing of the past!  It is so sad to me that things have gotten so complicated.  I could live just fine far, far in the wilderness with no electricity or anything!  (Well, I'd like to think I could, anyway.)

Well, I am pretty close to that, but could not keep up with a wood stove anymore.  We have electricity, but the first few years it was very unreliable.  I can do without it all for a few days, but getting to the age that I gotta have some creature comforts. I am known to stay out on the Dancer for more than a few days..or in the woods.  It's fun.

Michael Debbage wrote a lovely and accurate review of Wings II - Return to Freedom.  It's uncanny the way he catches on to music and ties it in with the artist's ideals. http://www.mainlypiano.com/Reviews_10/2002-Wings_II.html

A rather lovely review - I adore the track "Memory of the Sky" on Return to Freedom.  It's so celestial, it calls to mind an age in heaven but being on earth and looking up reminiscently to the sky and longing for that bliss.
